2011 was a collaborative year. Catch a glimpse at some of the challenges we took on. 2012 is looking just as promising & we know it'll be even better, together! Right now we're about to head into the ever-active Refinement Phase of the Vibrant Cities Challenge. Get in quick to hit the Applause button on your favourite concepts which will help us decide on the Refinement phase shortlist. From there we'll all get the chance to collaboratively iterate, refine and prototype ideas even further to make them really shine – 'tis a challenge of vibrancy after all!

Meanwhile we are continuing with plans for our upcoming London Hackathon which will focus on concepts from our recent Amnesty Challenge. Subscribe to our User Forum London Hackathon topic for updates – just hit the Subscribe envelope icon up there on the right of the forum page to get email alerts of any additions to this thread.

What else is up for 2012? SmartPlanet asked 4 experts what it would bring in terms of design. Among them was IDEO's Ryan Jacoby. Of course we hope you'll *all* be part of making 2012 a collective success on OpenIDEO!
