We trust many of you have been enjoying festive frivolities over the past week. While Santa's elves were busy, our Ghanasan IDEO Field Team was also hard at it synthesising for the Sanitation Challenge. This involved an iterative process of going back and forth between insights, design principles and concepts using simplified storyboards for sanitation system options. They point to IDEO's Human Centered Design Toolkit as shaping their process. With only one day to go to submit your concepts we hope you'll come and join the conversation and later participate in evaluating the brilliant range of submissions. We've been amazed at how OpenIDEATORS are really engaging with each others ideas, building on them and cross-pollinating thoughts.

The Innovation Challenge is in it's Evaluation Phase. Your input on the 36 concepts which have made it this far will directly effect the agenda for the i20 summit in January. A great chance to participate in future global innovation!

Meanwhile – on the back of the successful OpenIDEO Tweet-up in San Francisco last week – there have been rumblings on Twitter of an NYC Tweet-up in the New Year. If you're a tweeter in the area, keep an eye on #openideonyc for updates.

The OpenIDEO team would like to toast you all for your passion and participation, conversations and community resilience! We've got some exciting developments coming up in 2011 and hope you'll be joining us – because creativity loves company.
