Create an inspirational logo for OpenIDEO
Concepting
We're into Concepting now!
Using all the great inspiration that was submitted, this stage was all about crafting logo concepts to meet the Challenge Brief (we had the whole top bar to play with).
People could build on Themes, specific Inspirations or other Concepts by bookmarking them and dragging them into their Concept. Alternatively they could just to browse the Concepts as they were uploaded and applaud or comment (this also added to their Collaboration DQ points).
It was important for the crowd to bear in mind our openIDEO Principles: Inclusive, Community-centered, Collaborative, Optimistic, Transparency and Always in Beta.

1 + 1
When colours are mixed, magic happens. What happens when ideas and collaboration are overlayed? The 'o' s are like little peepholes.
There's sound on the vimeo.

IDEO human holding neon OPEN?
I saw this ad in the NYC subway and had a vision of IDEO luminaries like David Kelley & Tim Brown photographed similarly, holding a neon "OPEN" sign... ;-)

Let the world know
Open in many languages...let everyone know we are really open. I hope people take the concept and build off of it as this is very raw.

What's inside?
It's like our logo is opening up to show something inside - it's like a process of discovery.

opening up for cross pollination
Using the flower opening image with simple text. Could the flower be animated. Could the centre of the "o" have a dynamic middle showing other contact?

DQ LOGO
This logo uses the DQ behind the "o" from IDEO. This DQ is dynamic and changes with each user when they sign in, giving a dynamic logo. The "pen" text also changes colour depending on the user. By using the "o" from IDEO, the logo could one day...

Denim Heroic
A bit of an amalgamation of things – a heroic typeface (ha, get it?), a bit of grime, and my favorite Tim Brown drawing!
