How can we raise kids' awareness of the benefits of fresh food so they can make better choices?
Evaluation
We were blown away by all of the great Concepts - we therefore added this Evaluation Phase to help us come up with a shortlist of 40 for final Evaluation. We asked the community to just applaud the Concepts they liked most - we then took the 20 concepts with the most applause through and added in a few of Jamie's picks too. We made sure that users had to be logged in to applaud concepts because we didn't want the same people applauding the same concepts multiple times.
Show Taste and Tell
This strategy is inspired by the school activity of “Show and Tell” and the book “Nudge” by Sustein and Thaler.
It is aimed at creating not only creating a discussion, but a competitive culture that rewards students for eating well.

I noticed fellow OpenIDEOers bringing up Ushahidi as inspirations and in their concepts in other challenges, and I think Ushahidi http://www.ushahidi.com/ would also be applicable to this Kids’ Challenge.
