"Spill the beans" - Take-away coffee pulp fertilizerCoffee pulp makes very good fertilizer - so why not utilize its potential? With more urbanites doing home gardening, the fertilizer can turn into a valuable take-away
The idea is that when you order your Colombian (Caldas) coffee in your local coffee shop, the staff will ask you if you would like a bag of pulp fertilizer with it.
To promote the pulp-campaign, a sleeve can be made for the coffee-to-go. The sleeve can explain more in detail how the pulp can make great fertilizer for home gardening.
I suggest that the campaign will have a catchy and symbolic name, such "Spill the Beans" (referring to "tell the full story of where my coffee is coming from" and "Spill = use the leftovers")
How do you envision this idea making money?
A percentage of the coffee sales can go directly to send children of coffee farmers to school. Or some other community project related to the coffee farmers.
How does this idea create social impact, particularly around improving health?
It will generate awareness and money in a Western context, which will benefit people in the developing world, such as the Caldas region.
How does this idea add social value at every step of the process?
It will raise awarenss around the coffee production and the sustainability cycle connected to coffee production and waste.
