Learning to learn / Training to train

The key to learning is people. One of the keys to addressing this challenge is to empower students and teachers with the skills to support effective learning. Simply put, the easiest way to build availability and services, is to train the trainers to train the trainers to train the trainers .... A learning to learn program can create a flexible, accessible and affordable resource, who can apply their professional learning and development skills to work with any group of people to learn any skill. By understanding the principles of effective learning, this pool provides a local resource with knowledge of effective strategies, structures, planning and follow up to ensure that any learning challenge can be effectively addressed.


This strategy can be very affordable and accessible, and only needs people, and a starting seed to train the first group (say of 10 people). If each person in the first group trains another 10 people in turn (ie one more group) and each person in those groups trains 10 more, then we have 1,000 people who have learnt how to learn (or who are trained to train).
