My Experience Registering to Donate
On Monday I signed up to join the US bone marrow registry. On Wednesday I received my kit, swabbed my cheek, and sent back my cheek swabs. Here's my experience.

Donating together with friends
Still in high school some kid from my school was diagnosed with leukemia and happened to be a class mate's brother. It made the case very personal. Friends and fellow students arranged donating together, motivating and comforting each other to do so.

Campaign on a Starbucks Cup
Starbucks sells ~600,00 cups a day. That's ~18 million cups a month! Imagine how many people we could reach if a simple campaign to register was printed on a cup and/or a sleeve.

Organize Tours of the Donation Process
Yesterday, I visited the Stanford Cancer Center and discovered for myself how an actual donation process actually works. It was an absolutely great experience. Diane Hill from NMDP took me through the entire process.
