Red Nose Day happens once a year in the UK and it a day when fun charity events

are held all around the country to raise money to help various issues in UK and

Africa.

The public are invited to think of and execute their own ideas for raising money,

the theme for the events being 'humour'. People participate with events like 'being

sponsored by your family and friends to run 3 miles dressed as a fairy', 'being

sponsored by your work colleagues to dye your hair red for the day' etc.

Famous brands and companies also get involved. Many brands bring out a 'red nose

day' product which a percentage of profits going to the cause. The event culminates

with an evening on television, showcasing tv shows with a 'one off, red nose day

special' episode, or celebrities doing silly things.

The event is a massive success every year raising millions of £'s for charity, it is also

an enjoyable event. Yes it has a serious message and objective behind it but people

have fun while they take part. They laugh and enjoy the whole process.
