The Urban Field Farm Stop
An urban distribution system that uses existing channels of mass transit and bus stops to sell produce in L.A. It envisions the entire city map as a ―decentralized farmers market‖, integrated directly with the mass transit circulation system of the c The Urban Field Farm Stop contemplates an innovative distribution system for fresh farm product to urban centers by integrating farmers market purveyors directly into the city’s mass transit system. Bus stops transform into Farm Stops to provide fresh product to commuters and residents, providing an alternate sales points for farmers, and a convenient alternative to the single venue farmers market for consumers. The Farm Stop prototype utilizes a stainless steel structural frame that supports the louvered rain screen cladding.
