Abandoned structures become parks

Park in the sky, is an example to follow, Robert Hammond and a few friends get together to save the abandoned railroad track (which saw the last train in 1980), and turn it on to a park in the sky.
Unused, abandoned structures that nature is starting to reclaim are an example. Why not reclaim the green for nature? Turn them into parks, gardens and even food supplies.
It has proven not only that it helps revitalize, but it turned out a very good investment for the city of NY.
