Art can change the world

JR believes art can change the world. By taking pictures of people and printing them out as huge posters and post them to public spaces like people's roofs or walls by streets, he changes the atmosphere of a neighborhood full of crimes. inside out project was established by semi-anonymous french artist JR during a ted talk in long beach, ca. after showing photographs of black and white faces in urban areas, JR called everyone to create their own street art and shape their own environment. to participate, one must only take their own portrait, upload their statement to the web, send away for their own poster, and paste it up in their own community.

JR believes art can changes the world. And by participating his art work, the atmosphere of the neighborhood is changed. Everyone has the ability to appreciate beautiful things, when the beautiful things are their own faces, and someone is willing to put efforts to show it, tho it doesn't really solve any problems for the poor neighborhood, but people are more friendly to each other.
