LOVE MEDELLIN

amazing public spaces in medellín, colombia

there is a lovely detail even on medellins trash cans

"go barefoot to feel the energy of the planet" - plaza de los pies descalzos

i was in medellin some weeks ago - the first time after 10 years not beeing there. it changed SOOO much! the metro cable is amazing and the quality of public space is wonderful. i felt there is design and love in every detail. the citizens are proud of their city and they care for it.

that´s what i love of cities in so called "developing" countries - they DO DEVELOP! - while "developed" countries often don´t show significant progress - they think there are done - but they are so wrong! we can learn SO much of colombia!

Thank you for sharing. Always nice to see pictures from places that you've mostly hear about in negative news items. Especially if they show a completely different side.

Nice pictures, and very true about the often amazing pace of "development" in various "developing countries". You can go away for a year and then come back, and be shocked by the change, even though you're a local.
