Schönherz Matrix

Although I have never lived in this dorm but I used to hang out there quite a lot when I was going to university and I can say it is a pretty ugly building from the early 80s that is somehow turned alive by this yearly light installation.

Also according to Wikipedia, similar installations were displayed in Berlin, Paris, Toronto, etc.

Well, I think this is a way to turn ugly things into something more vibrant. And anyhow, who wouldn't want to play tetris on a giant building? ;)

Nice, I remember something similar awhile back when I was at Brown University. Tech House (residential student group) created the world's largest functional Tetris game on the Science Library Building that bystanders could play, and was visible for several miles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkIRWoo9qrU

Cool! Though I'm not sure it's the largest with its 14 floors as Schönerz has more floors :P Just kidding. Would have loved to play!

Yah, definitely not the largest anymore =P. I think it was said to be the largest of its kind back then.
