Sydney Laneways Art program is a surprising utilisation of empty spaces

Here is the link to the Laneways Art project, which is a successful example of Sydney's attempt to make the city a more vibrant, expressive place to live. The Laneways Art program is part of a wider annual "Art & About" festival, which brings art out in public, for the masses. Previously, the laneways of Sydney have been a place for the forgotten people of society to hide from the world, but now, many of the city's laneways are filled with fantastical sculptures, pop up shops, and even periscopes!
