Tear Down Old Structures for Open Space and Recycle Wood, Bricks, etc.

Students could be involved in tearing down the structures and learning about recycling of old woods, bricks, metal, copper wiring etc.

Why just students? I know a bunch of people who would take great pleasure in tearing down blighted properties around Detroit. This could be just one of hundreds of ongoing projects in the Detroit area that add up to one massive and successful movement.

Hi Jake, interesting post! Any chance you could find an image to go along with it? Images help grab attention and tell a story with higher impact. We know occasionally people have issues uploading images so let us know if you face any problems. You should be able to use the 'Update entry' button on the right of your post and follow the instructions to add images from there. Looking forward to seeing more of your inspiring ideas on OpenIDEO.

Thanks. I uploaded an image. I also applied for the 2013 Fellowship, but how do I submit my IDEO Challenge with my app, if I already sent it?
