Urban Appropriation is at its most powerfull in the streets

The space under the Burnside Bridge had been troubled by drugs and prostitution, but was revitalized by local skaters who over the course of several years they laid down all the concrete they could carry to create the skatepark. The Burnside skatepark has grown organically thanks to the efforts of the local skateboarding community.
