Value Cycling

Multi-modal transportation options are great. A good city not only allows but helps move people around.
Cycling is a great mode of transportation because it's faster than walking but still puts the power in the individuals hands. They choose the route, they choose the schedule, they choose everything. Bicycles bring color, culture and personality to cities. They enable people to see stores, trees, parks, buildings and more because they aren't moving at 30+mph or just worried about if they'll get the green light. Getting cyclists in cities is putting eyes on the streets and that's success by itself.

In some cities cars are not allowed... (Venice in Italy, is an example)

I think that is awesome and would love to see that happen more in the U.S.. I know some cities have portions that are closed off permanently or under a specific schedule, but it is my opinion that many cities, especially the North Eastern ones, have the density to support it.
