Yo Savionteaches film and multimedia production at the East Oakland teen center Youth Uprising. on the desolate avenues of East Oakland he and local dancers the Turf Feinz shot a video in memory of Richard Davis, the brother of one of the dancers. The dance style was something so unique to East Oakland and the power of raw creativity made the local creative style a global phenomenon. 

The video now has over 3.8 milion youtube hits and Turfing has gone from a local phenomenon to a sought after dance style worldwide, bringing dancers from all over to East Oakland to learn how to Turf. Youth Uprising and their creative programs of dance and video production has connected the struggling neighboorhood of East Oakland to the rest of the world. Under the label Yakfilms Yo Savion and the Turf Feinz continue to spread the creativity and vibrancy.
