Although each location might look slightly different, the traditional polling place is about people, process and technology: from poll workers who help ensure fair elections, to the experience of waiting in line to vote, to the technology tools that help us sign in and vote electronically.
How can our concepts help support poll workers, refine the voting process, or improve the experience of voting at a polling station so that it’s less confusing, more accessible and generally more user-friendly?
What tools, incentives, or technologies can help ensure all polling stations are accessible? And how might we encourage feelings of empathy and understanding for poll workers so that they are better able to anticipate and be accountable for voters’ diverse needs and limitations?
