SENSITIVITY TO VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES

On the poll workers website they provide some good video material to illustrate what it would be like to be voting when you have a disability like hearing loss.
Go to the Pol workers website and Watch the HELP AMERICA VOTE: SENSITIVITY TO VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES video.

I think it is an excelent idea to train poll workers how they can most effective respond to various disabilities. Like when you talk to some one that is hard of hearing:
  • Look at them while talking
  • articulate clearly
  • talk slowly rather then extra loud

Wow, very informative video, showing the voting experience from the voter point of view. This training actually covers a wide range of disabilities. Thanks for sharing Nymphaea!

Looks like your link didn't fully post properly. Have included the full link URL here: http://www.voteseminole.org/en-us/pollworkers/index.php

Wow is right - terrific videos, thanks for so much for posting this Nymphaea. You might also be curious to check out the videos that LA County have made to show what the voting process looks like there http://bit.ly/xd78t5. It's an interesting look at the voting process from a different perpective that might help round out our total understanding of the election experience.
