#LaughterIsTheBestMedicineWe all know the phrase 'laughter is the best medicine' so why not share create a hastag #LaughterIsTheBestMedicine - or #LitBM - where people can upload photos of themselves laughing? People could follow the link for a daily dose to lift their moods.
What are the benefits of your concept for the individual and the employer?
This could be a fun way for individuals to demonstrate what makes them healthy and happy in their lives, and could be used by employers as a competition/incentive for employees to take some time in their day - either at work or in their community - to have some fun and show it.
What might the impact of your concept be and how might it be measured?
#LaughterIsTheBestMedicine could be measured on Twitter and could have a big impact depending on the number of people taking part and the photos/inspirational stories that are shared. It could be a great opportunity for communities to showcase what being healthy and happy means to them, which could result in some quite quirky, creative photos! Or the competition could just celebrate the best photo - or if there was audio judges could judge who has the best laugh.
How might your concept be designed to scale and spread to reach as many people as possible?
Using social media, the concept could spread quickly to many users on Twitter. Plus individual companies could run their own #LaughterIsTheBestMedicine competition within the workplace, offering their own employee incentives to take part. A company like Bupa could create a 30- or 60-second ad campaign featured the best #LaughterIsTheBestMedicine photos/submissions.
How might you design a small experiment around your concept that would mobilise action?
Start with one workplace, community or city and go from there! If you could get governmental stakeholder buy in - for example Boris Johnson, Mayor of London - then you could launch a city-wide competition which could be a great way to kick off the idea.
