Permanent, sustainable "Teaching Sculptures"
Aligning with the idea of a decentralized classroom, this idea would be to create a multitude of "teaching sculptures" throughout an environment or city. Each sculpture would be reminiscent of demonstrations found in the Exploratorium in San Fran (http://bit.ly/9MKxd6 for an example).

One computer per block
Technology is almost impossible given the low-affordability restrictions. How do we get past that and enable locals to have access to the greatest resource humankind has ever invented: the internet.

Pressure writing pad
Currently, all physical writing tools 1) run out 2) are costly as they have to be replaced 3) cannot be erased [pens at least] 4) require a writing medium that needs to be replaced [paper] and 5) get lost... let's think of a better way to write while learning.
