"I tend to believe anything is possible"

I joined Ashoka in 2008 to lead Communications for Ashoka's Global Venture & Fellowship team. I pioneered the co-design of AshokaHub to foster collaboration among Ashoka's network of entrepreneurs. While pursuing degrees in Marketing & Communications, I crafted a partnership between colleges, radio stations and businesses to support the Genocide Intervention Network. Through NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, I created Citizen Gain, a short documentary about social entrepreneurs tackling economic development in Southern Africa. As a board member of the SLIGHTLYaskew art collective, I developed interdisciplinary workshops to promote artistic, cultural and generational exchange in underserved communities throughout the US. I also helped to establish Ankay, which aims at getting Peru’s poorest youth into its top schools. I now bring my experience in communications, marketing and technology to social entrepreneurs inside Ashoka and beyond through a communications collective I started called soot+chalk.
