Jammin' unit
There are many forms of cooking that are pleasurable that take more time and more knowledge. Even basic food skills like fruit and vegetable prep are being lost. Food education on wheels --> public kitchen + nonna + mobile = Jammin' unit

Cuba : urban agriculture : permaculture
When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1990, Cuba's economy went into a tailspin. With imports of oil cut by more than half – and food by 80 percent – people were desperate.

Everyone needs a nonna
My neighbour was one of my greatest food influences. As a child, I was transfixed, watching her make fettucine. She would give me some; I'd run home and my mum would cook it. I remember how gloriously egg-y it tasted; they raised laying hens too.

Nose to tail (and the insides too)!
The less "prime" meat is often the tastiest. Slow cooked shank, fish cheeks, liver... miam! For people who raise and slaughter their own meat it's also about respecting the life and not wasting anything. In Asian cultures, it's pretty normal!

DIY Gen-Y Farmers
As farmers are getting older & young, rural people go to the mines-it begs the question-who is going to produce food for the future? How can they be attracted & retained? Maybe there are clues here. The U.S.A sees some interest from the young.

When your life is an Aga; your life is food
Jed is an awesome cook, I can just tell. I've never met her; never eaten her food. Yet her descriptions are so evocative. When I can eat Mexican, Tibetan or Peruvian in Sydney... I dream of her home-cooked food.

Mullumbimby is delicious
In Mullumbimby I was struck by the deliciousness of their food. It was locally-grown and available to buy from markets and local businesses.

Experience culture through food
What does the story of industrialised food tell us? Marketing. Factories. Distribution. Supermarkets. Takeaways. Commodity. Profit.
Can stories of fresh food be told to rival those of brands?
