"Passionately curious"

I love architecture, design, sustainability, marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and writing.

I first encountered OpenIDEO back in 2010, while I was still in school. I have met some amazing people on here, and continue to enjoy the process of meeting people, exchanging ideas and collaborating for the greater good.

My name is Pierce Gordon, a PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley. As a member of a group in a course at the Information School, we're running a study upon the innovative OpenIDEO community about the user experience.

We found you're a select designer of the OpenIDEO system that has been highly active in the system in many ways. We have selected you because of your active involvement, and expert opinion upon the use of the OpenIDEO website.

Would you like to participate in an online focus group of the website? If so, we would love to participate in a Google Hangout discussion with you, and a collection of up to five other active designers, upon the user experience of the OpenIDEO website.

All of our information will be disemminated to OpenIDEO engineers for the sake of bettering the community you have worked so hard to contribute

Please contact me at, or the OpenIDEO profile, if you are interested. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey Kirk! Congratulations on making the cut to the shortlist with the Creative Confidence: Parents & Teachers Edition. Sorry, I didn't get a chance to respond to your latest comments on the Creative Memory App...I've been sick the past couple of days. I know your focus right now will be getting the Creative Confidence concept moving forward but if you have plans to move the Creative Memory App forward, let me know and I'll get back to you with some ideas. In the meantime, I'll check out your concept of the moment. Best of luck!

Dear Kirk
It was a pleasure of reading your post.
I am Cheng Zhang, a master student from London School of Economics (LSE).

As I am writing a dissertation on OpenIDEO, can I send you a questionnaire for you to answer in about 10 days time?
I can see that you are an active participant, and I am really interested in finding out more about people like you.
If you do not have time it is totally understandable too! If you are interested, could you please send me an email to ? Or you can tell me your email here;).
Best regards and many thanks
Cheng Zhang

Kirk, I really enjoy collaborating with you! I like how you present and visualise your concepts and I also like the in-depth anaylsis you make on existing solutions and adapting them to our current challenges (i.e. One Laptop Per Child project)
