"Exploring the intersection of culture, communication and creativity"

I live way out on the Edge of Paradise in New Zealand and have a professional background in design, anthropology and communications strategy. These days I spend a large part of of my time as a Community Manager / Cross-Pollinator on OpenIDEO – hanging out with thousands of switched-on collaborators from all over the world and helping keep conversations and concepts, ideas and inspirations flowing. And yes, I pinch myself often to make sure I haven't dreamt up this incredible professional position!

Just read your profile for the first time!

When you first posted on my Concept, I thought to myself: "She should do this for a living." :)

Thank you for being such a gracious host and guide on this site. It's a real boon to the initiative. (And thanks for the redirection on my other issue.)

Heya Meena, very cool to find a Kiwi in the middle of this global community from way out there on the edge. Love your work ;)

PS apologies if I've submitted some version of this 3 times - having a few issues with logging in

Meena, thanks for giving OpenIDEO that additional edge of awesomeness that makes people like me come back for more. Keep up the good work in guiding the army of 14,000 (and counting)!

Meena, thank you for being here. You're doing a great job now, and also have before you joined the payed persons ranks. You really keep energy flowing. On the platform, in the user forums, and through basically any other channel you can get your hands on (is there really no place we can hide?!). You. Simply. Rock.

Oh Nathan – you're so polite on the platform – given that you were recently threatening to spank me. (Disclosure for everyone else: Nathan is my boss-that-I'm-not-supposed-to-call-my-boss at OpenIDEO. The threat was over yet another spot of drama I'd caused. Unintentionally of course)

Guys! Just a reminder that I get paid for my involvements with OpenIDEO (yes, I *do* keep pinching myself) Feel free to roll on with the praise but the real rockstars are all of you. Would be pretty boring if I was in here on my own. Kudos to all 14k of you, and counting...

Meena, thank you very much for all of your appreciative comments! every little word is like music to my ears. And I truly hope that many others will be inspired in any little way from anything i can come up with.

But I am afraid I am done posting concepts now, they were all sketched and developed on my whiteboard over the last 3 weeks. It helped a lot to have written the date (of the opening of the concept phase) on the top of the whiteboard! Thats why I was so early and energetic like the "battery-bunny" :D

But I will of course check out all the other ideas regularly, and add my input/feedback here and there. Best of luck!

@Matthew: What? That I write testimonials for myself? You're easily inspired then, aren't you? ;^)

@Meena: Lol! Hey, at least you had been a challenge winner so you could interpret that assignment as an opportunity to write one about yourself!

Sorry guys... this wins the prize as the biggest thrill of Testimonials for me. This is Tom (my other boss-that-I'm-not-supposed-to-call-my-boss at OpenIDEO) but he wrote this before I was hired when I was just enjoying the truly awesome platform he co-founded.
