Micro-loans through community breakfast proceeds
Selma's is the most amazing breakfast spot in Ann Arbor. Completely volunteer run, Selma raises money to give micro-loans to local farmers to build hoop-houses, extending the growing season and supporting the local economy.

Dignity and community-building through public toilets
The Ikotoilet facilities are highly visible, well-designed public toilets surrounded by retail and services in Kenya to combat "flying toilets" and pit latrines. It costs $0.07 to use the toilet and $0.20 to shower.
