Sydney Malawer

"He dies slowly the one who doesn't turn things topsy-turvy when he's unhappy at work, who does not risk certainty for uncertainty to follow a dream, who doesn't allow himself just once to stray away from sound advice. He dies slowly the one who doesn't travel, who doesn't read, who doesn't listen to music, who doesn't find grace within himself. [Pablo Neruda]"

I'm a budding design researcher fresh from a two and a half year life experience in Medellin, Colombia where I experienced first-hand how design-thinking mixed with human connection can transform a society. Also I learned how to shake it like only Colombians can ;) Recently moved to Berkeley, CA I'm trying to create new roots in my own country, tutoring Spanish in an awesome tutoring company to make ends meat while volunteering in opportunities to help stretch my designer wings! My dream job is to be a professional people-watcher so I can really understand them and help create better design solutions for challenges they face.
