Given you've been such an OpenIDEO champion, we'd love it if you might join our quest to walk millions of miles for wellness, together: http://bit.ly/well-walk

Waris, thanks for bringing Biomimicry to the forefront on OpenIDEO. It's been my passion and driver for the last 1.5 years as I am currently the in 2-year Biomimicry Professional Certification Program Cohort. It's truly shifted the way I approach my work, life, and family. Our cohort is working on some interesting projects, that should become more public early next year. I would love to stay connected on this through OpenIDEO. It's all about symbiotic relationships!

Thanks Robert !! So Glad to hear from you. I recently came across Biomimicry when I started reading the book "Design by Nature" by Maggie Macnab and I was blown away by the Kingfisher and Train example. Its really an intriguing field of knowledge to which I wish I was exposed earlier. From what I have read I think it can be extremely useful for the e-waste challenge (but mostly as a long term solution ) and probably the starting point should be the Annie's Leonard Model (extraction, distribution...) and how biomimicry can solve problems in each of these stages. Yes I would be great to stay connected and learn from you about this fascinating field.....Thanks so much for reaching out..!!
