Shante' Brown

Bio

Shante’ A. Brown  currently serves as Director of Operations for PHLpreK in the Mayor’s Office of Education.  Prior to this role, she worked with the School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Early Childhood for over fifteen years, having served as a teacher, Instructional Specialist and Early Childhood Field Administrator.  In addition to supporting teachers and supervising support staff, Shante helped to improve professional development initiatives and facilitated various workshops and courses related to early learning. Brown earned her B.S. in Education from Temple University, M.S. in Reading Education from Gwynedd Mercy College, and an Ed.S in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.  Dual certified in both early childhood and elementary education, she loves to spend time watching superhero flicks with her husband and daughter.
